New promotions in the firm
Anthony Harper is very pleased to announce a number of new promotions.

"Eight people have been promoted for their outstanding work and service delivery and their excellence in their respective legal fields. This includes two people who have been promoted to Special Counsel, enhancing our considerable strength in banking, finance and insolvency and in corporate advisory."
Chloe Jolliffe – Special Counsel (Banking, Finance and Insolvency)
Chloe is ranked as a Next Generation Lawyer in the 2018 and 2019 Legal 500 Asia Pacific Guides and is noted for providing "an extremely good service". Her work includes personal and corporate recovery and she has worked on a number of high profile matters.
Matt Smith – Special Counsel (Corporate Advisory)
Matt has extensive corporate and commercial experience advising a broad spectrum of clients, from early stage companies through to large corporates and government organisations. He has a particular interest in the technology industry. Matt delivers concise, pragmatic and timely advice.
Sarah Anderson – Senior Associate (Construction)
Sarah is a rising star in the construction sector. She is the Chair of the National Association of Women in Construction (Auckland Chapter) and was the inaugural Chair of Infrastructure New Zealand's Emerging Talent Committee from its inception in 2017 until 2019. She is experienced in both contract drafting and negotiation as well as dispute resolution, and works closely with the project team on one of New Zealand's largest roading infrastructure projects.
Matt Winter – Senior Associate (Property)
Matt is a valuable member of the Christchurch property team. He has significant experience in the acquisition, development and sale of residential, commercial and industrial property. He also has experience in syndicated property purchases and in the sale and redevelopment of cross-lease and unit title developments following the Canterbury earthquakes.
Caroline Edwards – Associate (Immigration)
Caroline has worked in the immigration sector for a number of years. She has a wealth of expertise advising clients on a range of temporary and permanent visa applications as well as other complex visa issues.
Richard Idoine – Associate (Litigation)
Richard is a talented litigator. He acts for a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from large scale public institutions to family businesses and individuals. He has expertise across a variety of commercial disputes. In 2019, Richard's focus and understanding of insolvency and restructuring litigation was strengthened by his involvement in a leading high profile case that was determined by the Supreme Court.
Campbell Lang – Associate (Corporate Advisory)
Campbell has made swift progress to associate having been admitted in 2016. He has built a practice advising clients on a range of corporate and commercial matters including mergers and acquisitions, restructures, divestments, shareholder structures, partnerships and joint ventures.
Tamara Webster – Associate (Retirement Villages)
Tamara has a background in the public health sector gained in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. This expertise has proved invaluable with her work in the retirement village and aged care sector.
